Chaun Cooke - Virginia State, OT, 6'3, 285, SR, Richmond, VA
Cooke paved the way for the Trojans to gain 424 yards of total offense and allowed Antonio Hawkins to throw for 331 yards and two touchdowns.

Receiver
Damon Thompson - Virginia State, WR, 6'0, 182, JR, Richmond, VA
Thompson had an outstanding performance hauling in 8 receptions for 165 yards, including a 14 yard touchdown reception in overtime to secure the win for the Trojans.

Offensive Back
Antonio Hawkins - Virginia State, QB, 6'3, 220, JR, Richmond, VA
Hawkins had a impressive showing in the Trojans overtime victory against North Carolina Central connecting on 18 of 27 passes for 331 yards and two touchdowns.

Defensive Lineman
Sonny Pritchett - Bowie State, LB, 6'2, 240, SR, Chester, MD
Pritchett recorded a team high 13 total tackles (7 solo, 6 assisted) in Saturday's game, including 4 tackles for a loss of seven yards as the Bulldogs defeated Johnson C. Smith, 23-19.

Defensive Back
Edward Handsome - Virginia State, DB, 5'11, 195, SO, Richmond, VA
Handsome racked up 10 total tackles (2 solo, 8 assisted), including one tackle for a loss of two yards to help aid in the Trojans victory.

Gerald Washington - Bowie State, ST, 6'2, 240, SO, Suitland, MD
Washington blocked an extra point attempt and blocked a punt that set-up a second touchdown for the Bulldogs. He also returned one punt for eleven yards.

Coach
Lou Anderson -Virginia State
Coach Anderson won his second game of the season and the Trojans move into first place in the conference with the victory over North Carolina Central in overtime, 35-28.

NEWS NOTES
Damon Thompson is third overall on Virginia State University's All-Time Reception Yards list. The junior currently has 2,379 reception yards and needs 339 yards to move into first.
