Cooke anchored the Trojans’ offensive line that amassed 171 rushing yards and 383 passing yards in the, 56-32, win over Bowie State.

Receiver
Damon Thompson - Virginia State, WR, 6'0, 182, JR, Richmond, VA
In Saturday’s action, Thompson had an outstanding performance on the gridiron with eight receptions for 135 yards and one touchdown. Thompson has earned Receiver of the Week honors for the fifth time this season.

Offensive Back
Antonio Hawkins - Virginia State, QB, 6'3, 220, JR, Richmond, VA
Hawkins connected with wide receiver Damon Thompson eight times for 135 yards and one touchdown to led the Trojans’ offensive charge. He finished the game completing 20 of 31 passes for 383 yards and four touchdowns.

Defensive Lineman
Marcus Bankhead - Livingstone, LB, 6'0, 240, JR, Clover, SC
In the Blue Bears last home game of the season, Bankhead led the defense with a game-high, 18 tackles (9 solo, 9 assisted) in the, 34-13, loss to Albany State.

Defensive Back
Douglas Wells - Fayetteville State, DB, 6'4, 233, SR, Columbia, SC
In the loss to Virginia Union, Wells harassed the Panthers offense, recording 17 tackles (11 solo, 6 assisted), including four tackles for a loss of 20 yards, one sack for a loss of eight yards, and had one interception returned for 34 yards.

Rookie
Calvin Bryant - Winston-Salem State, LB, 6'0, 235, FR, Summerville, SC
Bryant had his best collegiate day registering 12 total tackles (8 solo, 4 assisted), including three tackles for a loss of 16 yards, as the Rams defeated Elizabeth City State, 21-6.

Speciality
Ray Hawkins - Bowie State, KR, 5'10, 185, SR, Suitland, MD
Hawkins was busy in the game versus Virginia State with seven kickoff returns for 186 yards. His longest return was for 43 yards.

Coach
Lou Anderson - Virginia State
Coach Anderson and the Trojans scored in every quarter as Virginia State defeated Bowie State, 56-32.

HONORABLE MENTIONS
Andre Braxton, Virginia Union, rushed 29 times for 222 yards and one touchdown in the game against Fayetteville State.

Tommie Dawson, Virginia Union, had four interceptions returned for 49 yards and one pass breakup in Saturday’s game.

Robert Coles (rookie), Virginia State, had four receptions for 108 yards and two touchdowns. His longest reception was for 77 yards.

Percell Knight, Elizabeth City State, carried the ball 17 times for 89 yards and one touchdown. He also completed 4 of 17 passes for 48 yards to accumulate 137 yards of total offense.
