2005 CIAA All-Rookie Football Team Announced

HAMPTON, VA-Fayetteville State University cornerback Donte’ Wise tops a list of freshman voted to the 2005 CIAA Football All-Rookie Team, as selected by the CIAA Sports Information Directors’ Association.
Wise, a native of Fayetteville, NC was named the 2005 Rookie of the Year after leading the CIAA with 17 passes defended including 12 breakups (1st in the CIAA) and 5 interceptions (2nd in the CIAA). This season he amassed 56 tackles (40 solo, 16 assisted), forced one fumble and recovered two more. On September 17th at the 2nd Annual Clyde Williams Classic he was named the Defensive Player of the Game after a stellar performance of 15 tackles, a forced fumble, a pass breakup and a fumble recovery returned for 39 yards.
