Fayetteville State captures CIAA Golf Crown

Fayetteville State University, led by Ian Milne's three-under-par 68, captured the CIAA Golf Tournament, held April 21 and 22 at River's Bend Golf Course in Chester, Va.

The Broncos had a two-day team score of 589, 25 strokes better than runner-up North Carolina Central University's 614. Johnson C. Smith University was third with a two-day score of 645.

Bryan Demby of NCCU captured low medalist honors with a CIAA-record score of 135 over the two-day event. Demby shot a four-under-par 67 on day 1, and then followed with a three-under-par 68 on day 2.

FSU's Milne was the only other golfer to break par over 36 holes, shooting a one-under-par 140 over the two days.
