Results from Day Three of CIAA Men's Tennis ChampionshipsApril 22, 2005 RICHMOND, VA – Five-time defending CIAA Champion Johnson C. Smith will face upstart Shaw tomorrow in all six men’s singles finals. Shaw currently leads by one point, having taken two of three doubles matches on day one. The two teams met last year in the championship round, with the Golden Bulls winning by one-point and either will finish in first or second placed. Virginia State has secured third place with seven third place finishes, including two third place finishes in doubles competition. North Carolina Central has secured fourth place, two points ahead of fifth place Winston-Salem State. St. Augustine’s will finish in sixth place followed by Virginia Union and St. Paul’s in seventh and eighth places, respectively.Here are the results from men’s tennis action on day three in the 2005 CIAA Championships.
