Shaw rallies to win CIAA Women's Bowling Crown

Durham, NC… After falling behind two games to none in the best of five match against Fayetteville State University, Shaw won three straight to win the first contest of the morning. The Lady Bears never looked back.

Shaw blanked Bowie State University, 3-0, in the semifinal match, and then swept previously unbeaten Winston-Salem State University twice in the championship final to win the conference crown.

Tournament M.V.P. Michelle Moore topped the Lady Bears as a clutch anchor bowler, while teammate Joia King was also earned a spot on the 2004 CIAA All-Tournament Team. Ashley Bowers, Ashley Graham and LaVonia Cromartie were also members of Shaw's championship line-up.

Other selections to the All-Tournament Team were LaShonda Horton of WSSU, Sondra Hulsether of FSU, and Jessica McCandless of Saint Paul's College.
