Top Recruiter for Student-Athlete Employment Issues Women’s Tip-Off KeynoteFebruary 23, 2005 Hampton, VA …The 2005 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association Basketball Tournament activities will begin with the Women’s Tip-off Banquet that will celebrate the 30-year journey of CIAA Women’s Basketball.Nicole Hudson will offer a historical view of the 30-year journey of the CIAA Women’s Basketball to the next generation. Hudson, a former track and field student-athlete for the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, has an astounding record of inspiring young people and showing them how to accentuate the positive attributes of student-athlete life. Hudson recently traveled around the country as the Director of Training and Development for the Competitive Resources Group. This company served as a headhunter for corporations that are seeking former student-athletes as new employees. Hudson has always had athletics in her life, her mother played basketball for Saint Augustine’s College, which instilled an early admiration for the CIAA. She believes in the saying “CIAA for Life.” Due to her appreciation and understanding of the CIAA Women’s Basketball Tournament, she used the topic “The History and Significance of the Women’s CIAA Basketball Tournament” as her graduate thesis.
