WSSU Posts 0-3 Record In Second NCAA Bowling Session

April 8, 2004

Houston, TX - The Lady Rams found the second session of the first day of bowling at the inaugural NCAA Women's Bowling Championship at Emerald Bowl in Houston, TX on Thursday afternoon just as tough as the first session, as WSSU struggled versus the nation's best collegiate bowling teams.

The Lady Rams, after posting an 0-4 record in the first session faced three more tough matches in the evening session, and unfortunately, dropped all three decisions, posting an 0-3 mark in the second session and an 0-7 mark on the day. Based upon total pinfall, the Lady Rams may be headed towards Friday's head to head, double-elimination competition as the eight seed and may face the possible #1 seed Pioneers of Sacred Heart, who are atop the standings after day one, starting at 10:00 am Eastern Standard Time.

The second session of play began with WSSU facing the Cornhuskers of Nebraska-Lincoln in the first match of the day's evening session. The Huskers proved to be too much as they defeated the Lady Rams 1165 to 781.
