Elizabeth City State releases 2004 football schedule

ELIZABETH CITY, NC - The Elizabeth City State University Athletic Department has released the 2004 Viking Football Schedule.

The Vikings will play a 10-game schedule with no bye week beginning on August 28th with non-conference opponent Edward Waters in Jacksonville, FL. ECSU will hold its home opener against Saint Augustine’s College on September 4th at 7:00pm at Roebuck Stadium. The Vikes will compete in front of their home crowd on October 2nd against Virginia State, October 15th against Shaw University, and Homecoming 2004 on October 30th versus Virginia Union. The ECSU contest versus Fort Valley State on October 23rd in Fort Valley, GA will represent the only opponent the Vikings did not face in 2003.

The 6th Annual Down East Viking Football Classic will be held September 11, 2004 in Rocky Mount, NC where the Vikings will square off against the two-time defending CIAA Champion Broncos of Fayetteville State University. Kickoff is slated for 6:00pm at the Rocky Mount Athletic Complex. The complete 2004 Football schedule is as follows.
