Men's and Women's Tennis Champs To Compete in NCAA Regionals This WeekendMay 2, 2002 The Lady Broncos of Fayetteville State University will travel to Armstrong Atlantic State University, Savannah, Georgia. May 3-4 to play in the NCAA Division II Mid Atlantic Region. FSU (9-3), seeded 4th, will meet 1# seed Armstrong Atlantic State (21-3). The winner of the match will face either # 2 Georgia College & State University (13-9) or #3 Columbus State (12-8). The men of Johnson C. Smith University will represent the CIAA in its first automatic regional berth in Greenwood, South Carolina at Lander University May 3-4. The 4-peat CIAA Mens Tennis Champions, #4 Golden Bulls (20-6) will face # 1 Lander(13-2). In other Mid-Atlantic Region play, #2 Armstrong Atlantic State (12-11)will play #3 Anderson, SC (15-4). The NCAA Division II Tennis Championship is a 16-team field, two round, single elimination tournament. The winner of each region will advance to the finals in Kansas City,Missouri, May 9-12.
