Three of CIAA's Own Named to 2001 SBN Black College All-American Team

The Sheridan Broadcasting Network named three CIAA football players to the 2001 SBN Black College All-American team.

Defensive backs Stephon Kelly, (6'2-205) of Winston-Salem State University and Ralph Hunter, (6'3-205) of the CIAA champions Virginia Union Panthers were joined by Bowie State University's Charles Alston, (6"6-270) a junior defensive lineman.

The 2001 SBN Sports All-American Team will be honored at the Black College All-American (BCAA) 28th Anniversary Banquet on Saturday, February 23, 2002 at the Ritz-Carlton in downtown Atlanta, Georgia.

Over the past 27 years over a million dollars in scholarships have been donated to Black colleges and universities through the SBN Sports College All-American Awards Banquet.
