Golden Bulls conclude 2002 Tennis Season

Greenwood, SC, - Lander spoiled Johnson C. Smith's first trip to the Mid Atlantic Regions with a 9-0 win over the Golden Bulls in Greenwood, South Carolina Friday, May 3rd. The Golden Bulls lost three doubles matches and could not recover as Lander won six singles contests.

The eighth seeded Golden Bulls were unfortunate to play the nationally fifth ranked and number one seed Lander. The Golden Bulls concluded their 2003 season with a 20-7 record and as reigining champions of the CIAA conference. The Golden Bulls have won 60 straight CIAA regular season matches. The team will lose seniors Atiba Wing (3) and Andrew Moton (5) as they continue to rebuild in 2003.
