The CIAA Men's Tennis Championship belongs to the Golden Bulls of Johnson C. Smith University for a winning its third straight championship. By going undefeated in the regular season, they showed that experience and hard work proved to be in their favor. The Golden Bulls and the second place Bears of Shaw University played in every championship match.
Johnson C. Smith amassed 71 points to win the team championship; Shaw University placed second with 64 points and Virginia State University finished third with 48 points.
In the singles competition the Golden Bulls won five out of six matches, and in the doubles matches they were three of three. Chris Lee, a junior, won the tournament Most Valuable Player award.
