The CIAA Marketing Firm brings home Gold

June 6, 2001

The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association Marketing Campaign has won the Gold Sabre Award, in the Multi-Cultural Marketing category, for superior achievement in branding and reputation.

Richard French and Associates, the public relations and marketing arm for the CIAA brainstorming efforts have led to one of the most successful years in CIAA history.

"David Gwyn, Cicely Anderson, and Mark Riggs, of Richard French and Associates, are to be applauded for their creative strokes that expanded the conference landscape to reach national attention," says Leon G. Kerry, CIAA Commissioner.

The Gold Sabre, the second highest honor in the public relations/marketing industry, acknowledges excellence in strategic planning, breakthrough thinking, integrity and effectiveness.

The Raleigh based firm received the award Wednesday, May 30, in New York City. Continually striving, the CIAA and French and Associates will return to New York later this month to attend the award ceremony for the highest honor, the Silver Anvil.
