Hampton,
VA - The "BE ONE" 2001 CIAA Basketball Tournament program has taken
first place in the national publications contest for the College Sports Information
Directors of America (CoSIDA). Competition in Division B consisted of schools
and conferences in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina and Virginia.
CoSIDA annually judges publications evaluating cover, content, use of color and space, originality and other similar criteria. Award winners will be recognized at the Annual CoSIDA Workshop in San Diego, Ca, July 1-4, 2001.
Shera White, CIAA Publication Editor coordinated the award-winning publication. White is completing her first year with the conference office. She was assisted by Chester Steward, Publications Advertising Coordinator.
"I am extremely proud of Ms. White's accomplishment as well as the conference," said Monique A.J. Morgan, Assistant to the Commissioner. "As they say, 'We are competing among the Big Leagues'. I am so excited for her."
